The Polaris concept was born out of the recognition of the need for a more integrated, whole-person centred, and inter-disciplinary approach to health and wellbeing. Over the last twenty (20) years a number of mental health and wellbeing professionals were working independently around the island, yet feeling the need to connect with other professionals and their disciplines – acknowledging their limitations when working alone with clients .…  and this is how it all began when Cher hand-picked a team of top specialists to join her mission and share her vision.

Unlike traditional organisations where clients have access to a range of professionals and services BUT whom work autonomously and independently from each other, the Polaris INTEGRATIVE CARE interdisciplinary approach involves team members from different disciplines working collaboratively with the same client, synthesising understanding, and sharing expertise, resources, feedback, hits and tips – in their pursuit of client health well-being. These professionals don’t just talk the talk, they walk the walk – by creating a chain of constant and consistent communication between them. The interdisciplinary integrative care approach challenges the rigidity of understanding a person from any one discipline’s perspective.

It is difficult and challenging, but so worthwhile and effective! In just three months, most clients report having seen a great improvement in their health and wellbeing.

At the heart of our organisation is our WellBEing Factory – yep a factory – literally! We designed it to be a chilled, relaxed environment – no pretenses or shiny marble floors – where everyone can feel welcome and comfortable. Each client gets a bespoke solution-focused care-plan, which we monitor closely every three months to be sure we are on the right track.
