The volunteers behind People’s Food and Farmers Alliance (PFFA) and People’s Health Alliance (PHA) after the official launch at the AgriFair on Saturday the 13th of April, is thrilled to present their innovative initiatives at The School of Practical Philosophy Malta (101, St. Christopher Street, Valletta – Malta, VLT 1461) on Sunday the 14th of April 2024 at 3pm, aiming to drive positive change in sustainable agriculture and community empowerment.

People’s Food and Farmers Alliance (PFFA)
People’s Food and Farmers Alliance (PFFA) is an organisation committed to driving forward sustainable agriculture and advocating for food sovereignty. Our primary goal is to empower communities, support local farmers, and champion policies that emphasise environmental conservation and social equity.

People’s Health Alliance (PHA)
The People’s Health Alliance (PHA) initiative, in tandem with PFFA, emphasizes the crucial connection between agriculture and public health. It strives to boost community health and well-being by advocating for nutritious diets, ensuring food safety, and promoting sustainable food production practices. Through educational campaigns, advocacy work, and policy initiatives, PHA empowers individuals to make informed dietary decisions that promote personal health and environmental sustainability.

The School of Practical Philosophy Malta
Active for over forty years, the school runs courses aimed at sharing and promoting natural wisdom. It is not academic and offers to its students essential tools for decision-making, self-control and transforming negative emotions into opportunities for growth. Through its careful methods of discussion in small groups, reflection and weekly practical exercises, members of the School find that life is gradually transformed and harmony finds a place in day to day living, a sense of freedom prevailing over impatience and stress. A NEW COURSE, open to all, STARTS on Thursday 25 April at 6.30 p.m. at its premises in Valletta. Together these two exciting initiatives and the school naturally compliment each other. What to expect/ Plan your visit Our event will start with an introduction of our team, our philosophy and a presentation highlighting the vision of PFfA and PHA. Some of our producers and practitioners from the directory will be sharing their experiences, challenges and dreams. As we set off on this thrilling venture, PFFA and PHA welcome individuals, groups, and communities to come on board in crafting a more robust and equitable food system. Together, our community can forge a tomorrow where everyone enjoys nutritious, locally produced food and where farming communities flourish, together we will grow.
